FAQ
1. How do I find my way around Bob's Place?

Buttons on the top left of the website are the "Main Pages" of the site. Some pages, such as Children's Sites or High School, have "Child Pages" where you will find additional pages of links. The site was created this way to avoid having a navigation structure that went on forever!

A Quick Links menu is now available which will show all headings on all pages.

2. Is there a fast way to find a particular topic on Bob's Place without searching through all the links?
Definitely! One of the fastest ways to find something on Bob's Place is to use the "Search Bob's Place" search box found here on the Search Engines page. Just type in your topic; it will search through all the links, and will display a listing of where that word (or words) appears on the website.

3. Why does (pdf) sometimes appear after a link and what does it mean?

When you see (pdf) after a link, it means the link is to a document available in pdf format and you will need Adobe Acrobat® Reader® installed on your computer in order to view it. Acrobat® Reader® is available free from Adobe. You can get the most recent version by clicking here.

4.

What's a plug-in and why do I need it? Is it safe to install it on my computer?

Plug-ins are software that are required for interactive sites. As long as the program you are installing is from a reputable company (Adobe, Macromedia, etc.), it is perfectly safe to install on your computer. Most sites use Macromedia Flash Player or Shockwave Player. You can click on the names to get the latest versions.
