Introduction

Fractions! How many students dread the mention of the name? How many students love working on the computer? Now you can practice fractions on the computer to make fractions seem a little less scary. The sites listed let you practice using a number line and other visuals. Easy to understand explanations are there also.





Questions

  1. Name the numerator and the denominator in the following fractions: 3/4, 1/6, 5 1/3 and 16 4/8. If you are unsure, go to the link titled Identifying fractions for more practice.

  2. How do you change an improper fraction 16/3 to a mixed number? The answer is 5 1/3. If you are unsure how to do this, go the link on mixed number to find examples using a number line.
